Hey dolls, I struggled with finding my skin type for some time. Unfortunately, not everyone knows their correct skin type.
The steps below will help you determine your skin type & I will have lotion options for all skin types at the end as well.
Oily Skin
There are 4 different skin types.
•Normal Skin
•Oliy Skin
•Dry Skin
•Combination Skin
The steps below will help you determine your skin type & I will have lotion options for all skin types at the end as well.
Start with a fresh clean face, makeup free & lotion free. If you can, have blotting paper.
If your blot paper has nothing or if your face seems to feel stretched out, have flakes or dry paches, then you have Dry Skin. Dry Skin appears to have smaller pores, but it's highly important to moisturize & keep hydrated with the correct oils.
If your blot paper has sort of a wet-ish look or if your face has a shine to it, or seem greasy then your have Oily Skin. Oily Skin appears to have bigger pores. Even though the skin is oily, it's still important to hydrate using an oil-free lotion. This will help the skin get the hydration it needs without adding any additional oil.
Once again nothing on your blot paper or if your face has neither shine or flakes & feels supple & smooth then you have Normal Skin. You are one of the lucky ones! You can use about any lotion!
If you blot your face & if only your T zone (forehead going down your nose) is oily or if you have flakes around your cheeks & your T Zone is shinny, then you have Combination Skin. This is the most common skin type. It basically means you have all three skin types listed above. You have to treat both areas, dry & oily. Not as hard as you think.
Here are some of my recommendations of lotions.
Combination or Oily Skin.
SPF 15
Dry Skin
Oily Skin
For all skin types.
Original Formula for all Skin Types.
I hope this really helped you determine your skin type. Once you know your skin, shopping for face scrubs, face lotion, primers, & foundations will be so much easier I promise.
So much love,
**Disclaimer: I am NOT a skin expert. I've done my research in the past.**
